Type-In Master [TIM] – the first full-page BASIC editor for the
Amstrad CPC is released this weekend!

Most people agree that the CPC has one of the most powerful BASICs
around, but let’s be honest — the built-in editor has always been a
bit on the minimal side.

So, 42 years later, we decided to fix that by releasing a full-page
BASIC editor !

TIM

The goal was to keep as much BASIC memory free as possible for the
programmer. That’s why TIM doesn’t use a text or screen buffer, but
instead hooks directly into the BASIC ROM functions.

This wasn’t an easy job — it took a lot of testing to find the right
entry points for all the different ROM versions.

You can find more details on how to use the editor in the /Info file/,
or just press elp inside TIM.

We hope some of you will enjoy using it :)

Happy coding!
