LMan Becomes LMania
Some changes are visible to the public. Others begin on a very personal level, involving many thoughts, conversations, and decisions that are not made lightly.
After careful consideration and in close consultation with his wife, one of our members has decided to live as a woman from now on. Markus becomes Valerie, and his previous handle, LMan, becomes LMania.
For us as a group, this is first and foremost one thing: a personal decision that we all respect.
TRSI has always been a group of very diverse people. Different personalities, different opinions, different life paths, and different ways of seeing and approaching things. That’s exactly what defines us and is part of our DNA. For us, it has never mattered how someone is categorized by others or what personal decisions a person makes for their own life.
For us, it’s the person that matters, and LMania remains part of our group. Valerie remains the same person we know and appreciate, someone we’ll continue to work with and create some releases. Our shared memories, our work, our creativity, our sense of humor, our conversations, her contributions to the group, and her connection to us won’t change because of this. What is changing are her name, her handle, and the way Valerie wishes to present herself going forward.
We don’t want to make this step seem bigger than Valerie herself intends it to be, nor do we want to create room for speculation. It is Valerie’s decision, Valerie’s path, and Valerie’s life. Our stance on this is very simple: We accept and respect this step.
We therefore ask that you use the new name and handle and treat this step with the respect that personal decisions deserve.
Welcome, Valerie.
Welcome, LMania.
